A conference  “Modern methods of seismic hazard assessment and earthquake prediction” have been organized by IEPT from November 27 to 28, 2019 in Moscow. The 30th anniversary of the Institute of earthquake prediction and mathematical geophysics, Russian Academy of Sciences.

Experts from Russian, China, France, Italy, Germany, Tajikistan, South Africa, Armenia attended the Workshop with active communication and discussion.

Wu Zhongliang, director of the CEA_IEF(Institute of Earthquake Forecasting,China Earthquake Administration, Beijing, China) attended the meeting and gave a talk “Scientific products of earthquake forecast for seismic disaster resilience: practice in China” at the plenary meeting of 10:45-11:15 on the 27th; on the 28th 10:00-10:30, director Wu Zhongliang gave another talk “Ideas and spirits of forensic seismology applied to earthquake forecasting”.

In the meeting, director Wu Zhongliang posted the notice of the Annual Meeting 2020 of China Seismic Experimental Site. Professor zavyalov and other experts promise they will attend the meeting in Beijing.

On Friday, November 29, 2019, Wu Zhongliang, director of the CEA_IEF and Professor Zhu LianWu made a special presentation entitled “China earthquake prediction test site” and “China’s scientific problems and current situation”.  Records of the report can be found on the official YouTube channel of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Director Wu Zhongliang and Professor Zhu LianWu have visited the Federation of life and sports of Russian Academy of Sciences and the modern geophysical equipment: (1)Hydraulic servo test device； (2) low temperature magnetometer for measuring residual magnetism of rock samples and synthetic materials; (3) non magnetic room.
