On June 13, Professor Ying Li, on behalf of the project team, conducted a training course entitled "Fluid geochemistry of active fault zone and fluid model building". This training course targets young scientists and from developing countries. In fact, Professor Li made a similar report last year which received unanimous praise from the participants. Therefore, this year, under the call of the IGCP theme, the project conducted this training course again for different scientists from different developing countries, especially from Africa, like Zambia, Ethiopia, and Negeria. 

The course contents include the principles of fluid geochemistry anomalies, field observation and continuous observation on geofluids, fluid sampling methods, and noble gas isotope analytical methods and its application in the field of earthquake forecasting. Also, the course introduced the progress and the present situation of the IGCP-724 project. Over 35 participants attended the course including 11 female scientists. We hope that more and more young and female scientists from developing countries can benefit from IGCP-724 project.
