Two Training Courses Held in 2025
1. Seminar on Seismology and Earthquake Engineering for Developing Countries
A three-week training seminar was held in Kunming, China, from September 3rd to September 23rd, 2025. The IGCP-724 project was invited to deliver lectures covering fundamental fluid geochemical observation techniques, types, characteristics, and origins of geochemical anomalies, as well as their application in earthquake prediction. During practical sessions, participants gained hands-on experience in field fluid measurement and sampling methods. A total of 25 participants from Nepal, Laos, Thailand, Egypt, and Mexico successfully completed the program.

2. French-Speaking African Countries Training on Geochemical Mapping and Environmental Geochemical Survey Techniques
From October 15th to October 28th, 2025, a specialized training course for French-speaking African nations was conducted in Beijing. The IGCP-724 project provided technical training on fluid geochemical survey methods, including equipment principles, field installation techniques, observation protocols, and data interpretation. The course was attended by 25 officials and technical personnel from Morocco, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, and Burkina Faso.

The IGCP-724 project remains dedicated to knowledge dissemination, consistently offering learning and practical opportunities for scientists and technicians in developing countries, particularly in Africa. This mission aligns closely with the vision of the IGCP. Moving forward, the project will continue its efforts in this direction.
